Children's Ministries

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them: for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."  We love ministering to children at NBC, and we believe passing the faith down to the next generation is one of our most important callings as Christians. Therefore, we take seriously the spiritual needs and development of our children.

Worship Service:  We do not provide children's ministries during the Sunday worship service of the church. This is intentional because we believe the children of our church should be present in the corporate assembly, watching and learning from the adults what it looks like to worship the triune God. Our pastors do their best to feed all the members of the flock (even the little ones) throughout the liturgy, scripture readings, songs, prayers, and the preaching of the Word on the Lord's Day.

 

We understand you may need to step out occasionally with a fussy child, and that's perfectly ok! We have a nursery available for infants and toddlers as needed during the service.

 

Bible Classes:  We also offer Children's Bible classes for all ages. Our goal is to teach children the content of Scripture, so we provide our Bible class ministry with a scope and sequence that ensures we are teaching our children all of the Bible as they grow up in our church. Each week they will sing Bible-rich songs, learn a Bible verse, and be taught a Bible lesson. Parents enjoy receiving "take-home papers" that inform them of what their child learned and provide them opportunities to review the lesson and truths with their child.​​
